Kidney stones or nephrolithiasis are caused due to inadequate drinking of water during summer and bladder not getting completely emptied during urination.

Kidney stones can appear in both man and women in all age types. They don’t form suddenly in one or two days but take over one year time in which the mineral crystals gather and becomes larger over time.

This causes symptoms and complications from men and women 20-50 years old.

Initially, small stones won’t cause pain. These bladder stones when turned big enough will cause pain in the lower loin area.

The cause is not known exactly and still many theories are going on. Experts are telling that these stones are caused due to unhealthy diet and lifestyle.

1. Red Meat

High protein and uric acid levels present in red meat increases the risk of developing kidney stones.

2. Soft Drinks

Regular consumption of carbonated beverages, such as sodas and other energy drinks, increases the risk of developing kidney stones.

3. Intake Of Refined Carbohydrates

Refined carbohydrates such as white rice, sugar and refined flour produce high levels of insulin, which leads to urinary tract infections. This in turn stimulates the formation of kidney stones.

4. Increased Caffeine Content

High intake of caffeine content such as coffee increases the secretion of calcium levels in kidneys which can lead to the formation of bladder stones.

5. Increased Alcohol Intake

Excessive consumption of alcohol can damage the liver and kidneys.
This leads to dehydration which districts the normal functioning of the kidneys and increase the risk of developing kidney stones.

6. High Sodium Intake

Adding more amounts of salt to your diet can lead to increased blood pressure, cardiovascular diseases and
development of kidney stones.

7. Balance Oxalate Levels

Greens, almonds, cashews, cocoa powder, raisins and sweet potatoes are high in oxalate levels. Eating less of these foods are good for your kidneys.
