It is incredibly versatile and can be given for the whole family including elders. I personally have friends in my college who bring this since they love the most! And you should have no doubts cuz your child will definitely like it and asks for more!
Besides that,you can also add barley,pearl millet, channa dal, soybeans and peanuts.
Note: Add peanuts when you surely know that your child isn’t allergic to it. Since children develop a peanut allergy if they consume them for the first time. Always follow the three-day thumb rule.
1. Soak all the ingredients in water and rinse them well using a bowl. Dry them well.
2. Dry roast all the ingredients seperately.
a) Roast the rice until they get puffed.
b) Roast the dal until they turn golden brown c) Roast the sago until they become dry and crispy.
d) Roast the wheat daily until they become golden brown.
e) Roast the horse gram till they become dry and crispy.
f) Roast the gram till it gets crispy.
g) Roast the green gram till the colour changes from green to golden brown.
h) Roast the corn till they get golden brown and crackled.
i) Almonds and elaichi- Roast them till you have an aroma.
j) cashews- roast till they get golden brown.
3. Let them cool for a few minutes.
4. The roasted ingredients should be ground into a thin powder using mixer/blender or you can also grind it by giving to the nearby mill in your locality.
5. Sieve the powder to get the remnants.
6. Grind the remnants again.
